Book Recommendations

As you see from the topic of this threat, I want to have a platform for book recommendations in English.
Please feel free to submit any books you would like to reccomend, maybe with a short summary or online-based interpretation helps.
I will start with Jack London's short story "To Build a Fire". I really love this story of a lonesome gold digger walking through the snow of Alaska without knowing his death is inevitable and near. It is easy to read and spectacular in making clear deterministic views.
A online version of the short story is available here: http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/London/Writ ... /fire.html
Interpretational helps can be found here:

Please take the time and read this work, you will not regret it
